It all started with a little idea to do some fundraising...

I have been an advocate for Compassion Canada for the past few years. I thought it would be quite an experience to travel to Peru recently.
My plans to raise money for this trip were to sell Christian supplies at various local venues on Saturdays. I planned to continue selling Christian supplies to raise funds for the expansion campaign at my church, Emmanuel Baptist Church in Barrie.

God took my little idea to do this on Saturdays and opened the door for me to provide the Christians of Barrie an opportunity to help them spread the Word of Jesus.

And here you are. God has not only opened the door for me but also for you. You are here, at my website. God has given me the opportunity to share on the Internet!

Am, I thrilled? Well, more like a little in awe and shock over what has happened so quickly; but what can I expect?

God is big and He thinks big! I feel so blessed that He has chosen me to help the community of Barrie in a way that I know will bring a new direction of life and thinking to all He sends our way! I also know that when God opens up this kind of door, it is not only a door to help others, but also a door to help us grow closer to God and to become more like His son Jesus.

Yes, it was quite an experience, one that is continuing every day with the blessings of God.

Before I received the gift of eternal life, I had emptiness in my heart. I tried to find the answer to my emptiness through meditation, hypnosis, and spiritual yoga. I started living irresponsibly in order to gain acceptance so I would not have to suffer the rejection that I feared so much. But, no matter what I did, or what I bought, or how many tattoos I etched into my skin, the emptiness was not filled. I tried everything to find peace and purpose in my life but I was running in circles getting more and more depressed and lethargic every day.

Then, in February of 2006, my good friend asked me out for breakfast - Pancake Sunday it was called. It was at her church, so when I agreed to come, she was quite surprised. Being there that day was when I realized, I could find the answer to all the emptiness and loneliness that was deep inside of me. One month later, I received the gift of eternal life that God has made available to each one of us and I have never looked back.

Statement of Faith

We Believe that there is one living and true GOD, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Equal in power and glory, that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all.

We Believe that the SCRIPTURES of the Old and New Testament are the Word of God, Fully inspired without error in the original manuscripts, and the infallible rule of faith and practice.

We Believe in GOD THE FATHER, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

We Believe in JESUS CHRIST, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in his virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, His Substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into Heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, His personal, visible return to earth, and His name as the only name under heaven giving among men by which we must be saved.

We Believe in the HOLY SPIRIT, Who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the word of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ; we believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an Abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of the Biblical gifts of the Spirit.

We Believe that all PEOPLE are sinners by nature and choice and, therefore, are under condemnation; that God regenerates by the Holy Spirit those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord; that Jesus Christ baptizes the seeking believer with the Holy Spirit and power for service, often subsequent to regeneration.

We Believe in the universal CHURCH, the living spiritual body, of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members.

We Believe in the personal, visible RETURN OF CHRIST to earth and the establishment of His Kingdom, in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and endless suffering of the wicked.
